Before you arrive at Shimmer for your "spray" tan:

* You should shower.
* You should exfoliate your whole body.
* Do not apply deodorant.
* Do not apply lotion.
* We recommend that you wear loose fitting cotton clothes, preferably dark.

Once you arrive at Shimmer you should expect:

Our staff will make you comfortable in our lounge while you watch a simple video for your first visit. We will also further explain the following:

* Remove make-up and deodorant if you haven't done so already.
* Put on a shower cap. However, if the solution gets on your hair, it won't color it.
* Remove clothes. If tan lines are desired, you can wear underwear or a bikini.
* Step into the booth and press the button to begin.

Note, you can breathe in the booth - DHA is a sugar and is completely safe. However, most people find it more comfortable to hold their breath during the four 10 second sprays.

To extend your tan Shimmer recommends:

* Apply "Tan Extending Daily Performance Lotion" after you shower subsequent to tanning. This lotion delivers an aromatic blend of antioxidants and anti-aging ingredients that extend both your UV & UV Free tans. It contains just the right amount of DHA to enhance your color while smoothing fine lines and replenishing your skin.
* Or apply the "Shimmer Lotion" to extend your UV & UV free tans with added DHA. This lotion gives off the sparkle you need for that special event! It also smoothes fine lines & firms your skin.
* If you are traveling or simply want to have something at home for touch-ups or a quick home self-tanning option, you want to use our "MagicTan Aerosol Self-Tanning Spray". This well known product

has been proven to be a customer favorite. It contains MagicTan's clear formula allowing you to take your favorite self tanning spray to wherever you go.

After your spray tan, we recommend:

* We recommend that you wait 4-6 hours before showering or working out. During this period the DHA is interacting with your skin - wetting your skin will decrease the tanning effect.
* When you shower, you'll notice a brown layer washing off - this is not your tan, but a thin bronzing layer that is meant to come off. Your actual tan is a result of the DHA interacting with your skin and will keep darkening for 24 hours.
* After 24 hours, your skin will be beautifully golden brown!
